Trip to Yercaud

How's your day going my dear friends? The summer vacation is coming to an end...It passed quickly as a blink of an eye, right? OK...Here is my post about my fantabulous trip to Yercaud.

YERCAUD - A TOURIST SPOT

Yercaud is a beautiful town and a hill station in Salem district in Tamil Nadu, India. Located in the Shevaroy Hills of the Eastern Ghats, it stands at an altitude of 1515 meters (4970 feet). The town gets its name from the beautiful lake located at its center. In Tamil, "Yeri" means lake, and Kaadu means "Forest".

GETTING READY FOR THE TRIP

We woke up by 4.30 in the morning. Brushing, bathing, and dressing were done and we were ready for the trip. We started around 6.30 by car. After three hours of driving in the traffic, we reached Yercaud. The journey began with a scenic drive up the roads of the Shevaroy Hills. There were about 20 hairpin bends, each with a more stunning landscape than the last. We saw a group of jackfruit trees, coffee plants, and mischievous monkeys leaping among the branches.

PAGODA VIEWPOINT

Our initial destination was the pagoda viewpoint. Situated atop the hills, it offered a beautiful panoramic view with a refreshing breeze.๐Ÿ˜š

ROSE GARDEN

Near the lake, a botanical garden was situated with a diverse collection of plants and sweet fragrances of flowers.๐Ÿ˜
We bought a yellow chrysanthemum(เฎšெเฎต்เฎตเฎจ்เฎคி )๐ŸŒปin the nursery nearby...

KULIYUR WATER FALLS                                                                    For more adventure, trekking to the Kuliyur Falls is a must. Climbing down about 200 steps, the trek through the dense forest was amazing. Even though our legs pained a little, the stunning view of water pouring down 300 feet into the valley made us forget about it.๐Ÿ˜…

It was a memorable, adventurous, and exhilarating trip. After lunch, we began our journey back to Coimbatore around 4:30 pm. We stopped at a hotel for coffee and enjoyed some chaat as well ๐Ÿ˜‹. Driving for four hours through traffic is not an easy task. We arrived home at 10 pm, and I was so exhausted that I fell asleep quickly.๐Ÿ˜ด
