Once upon a time an asura called mahishasura received a boon from Brahma that he should not be killed by any human or god..Mahishasura was destroying the whole world and he even chased gods from the heaven.Many gods asked help from Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva.                                                                                                                                                                                                                These three gods with their power made a ten armed goddess who was called Durga.All gods  gave her many powerful weapons to kill Mahishasura.  Durga fought with Mahishasura for nine days.On the tenth day Durga killed Mahishasura.A festival called Navarathri is celebrated for this victory.Durga was called Mahishasuramardini as she killed Mahishasura.                                                                                         Guys,T
